About KPC

Kortright Presbyterian Church is a community-based church located in the heart of the University Village neighbourhood of Guelph, Ontario. We are a diverse congregation from a variety of social, cultural, and religious backgrounds that seeks to provide a well-rounded congregational life by including a variety of opportunities for fellowship, worship, service and spiritual growth.

A Bit of Our History: KPC was founded in 1980 by a group of concerned believers who saw a need for a spiritual presence in Guelph's South end. Services were first held in the gymnasium of University Village School, a common beginning for many young congregations. During those early years services were also held in the auditorium of Centennial C.V.I.

In 1983 ground was broken for our first church building at the corner of Kortright Road and Scottsdale Drive where we served and worshiped for the next 22 years. Near the end of that period the leaders of the congregation came to realize that, like any family, KPC was beginning to outgrow our first home. Prayers were offered and the search began for a new location.

Without warning, the City of Guelph announced that University Village School, where KPC began, was up for sale. After much more prayer and more than a little scrambling, our bid was tendered and accepted and in September of 2005 we celebrated our 25th anniversary in our new (old) building.

There have been many changes besides our location since those early days in South Guelph, and God continues to bless our congregation in many ways. In September of 2010 we celebrated 30 years of service and worship to God. We invite you to join us as we continue to serve Him in the years to come.
